The Pirate City projects have consisted of ongoing improvements and expansions of the Pirates Spring Training facilities. Over the years, ZNS Engineering has been contracted to perform Survey, Land Planning Services, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture and Construction Administration. Land Planning services included consultation, coordination and representation with regard to City of Bradenton planning approvals as well as helping the Pirates build a vision of the future spring training facilities. Engineering plans included site, clearing and demolition, grading/drainage, sanitary/water and applicable detail sheets. Survey work included topographic design surveys.

The McKechnie Field project consisted of multi phase improvements requiring Project Management, Design Engineering and Permitting Services for the Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training Ball Park. The last project included the new boardwalk, batting facilities, parking, practice fields and underground utility improvements. Project budget was approximately $14 million. ZNS services included Planning, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Survey and Construction Engineering Services

The Twin Rivers Subdivision project consisted of the construction of a subdivision on 1,800 acres of land where the Manatee River meets Gamble Creek. The two entrances to the development are located on Golf Course Road. ZNS provided project management, planning, civil design, landscape architecture, permitting, survey, construction engineering and administration and final certification of the project.

The Goodwill Corporate Campus project consisted of the development of a 9.44 acre parcel to construct an office and retail facility at the northeast corner of US 301 and 51^st Avenue East in Bradenton. ZNS provided several services such as Survey, Planning Services (preliminary site plan and rezoning), Civil Design and Permitting Services (design of utilities, stormwater and paving, including a lift station, landscape architecture and construction administration (including final certifications).

The Lakewood National project consisted of the construction of 1,999 residential dwelling units: single family detached units, single family attached units (condos) two-story multi-family units, four-story multi family units, clubhouse, amenity center with a 36 hole golf course. Lakewood National (aka Lakewood National Golf Club) will be a golf course community consisting of two 18 hole golf courses. The project currently is planned to be built in two major phases with the first 18 holes of golf being built in Phase I. Polo Run is planned to include all single family detached homes with a neighborhood amenity center. Both projects are being developed on 1,389.54 acres of previously vacant land. The property is located approximately 1.4 miles east of Lorraine Road along State Road 70 and is bordered on the East by the future alignment of Bourneside Boulevard and on the west by the future alignment of Uihlein Road. A branch of the Braden River forms the north boundary and State Road 70 forms the south boundary. Phase I of Lakewood National and Polo Run are scheduled to open in 2017.
